虎岫寺位于塔后村后。始建于宋代，历代均有维修，后毁于“文革”时期，现为重修建筑。寺旁有崖刻多方，如有孙中山先生题褒崖刻，苍劲有力，殊为珍贵；有中国佛教协会前会长赵朴初题写的“虎啸”，是极具份量的文物。寺庙场地旷阔，周围植被保护完整、种类繁多，是春暖夏凉之地，让人心静神宁。

虎岫寺主体建筑依山而建，是一座典型的单檐歇山式建筑。中间真武大殿高达10.67米，宏伟轩敞，华栋雕梁，特别是中枢大殿檐沿的青石盘龙石柱，其姿胜似龙腾虎跃，在福建全省可谓无双。

HUXIU TEMPLE

Located behind Tahou village, Huxiu temple was built in Song Dynasty and has been repaired in the following dynasties. It was destroyed in the period of “Cultural Revolution”, but has been repaired in recent decades. There are many kinds of cliff carvings beside the temple, and even Mr.Sun Yat-sen’s inscription praises the cliff carvings, which are very precious. The "Tiger Roaring" written by Zhao Puchu, the former president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, is a very precious cultural relic in the temple. The site of the temple is vast and covered with various types of well-protected vegetation, which is actually a place with warm spring and cool summer. The unique style of the temple is full of bricks and tiles, which makes people calm and peaceful. 

The main building of Huxiu Temple is built on the mountain, and it is a typical single eave hiped-roof building. The central Zhenwu Hall is 10.67 meters high, with magnificent carved beams. The carvings are unparalleled in Fujian.
